virtualspectre????????? is made up of 9 different video works (hence the 9 question marks) , each highlighting a different part of the artist’s queer identity. Delving into the highs and lows of navigating one's identity and existence in the digital realm, a series of videos chronicle their odyssey of self-discovery – grappling with the challenges of coming out and the complexities of existing as a queer individual today. Central to the narrative is an investigation of how screen-based media perpetually shapes and amplifies digital
identities; a poignant backdrop against which the artist's story unfolds.
virtualspectre????????? offers explorations into the plurality of emotions and
experiences of a queer body. Through multi-screen experimentation, they attempt to
combine filmed and digitally rendered footage in the space-- aiming to achieve an
overwhelming, convoluted, and confusing effect.
